![]() They even have a library of movies to rent, and they drop off little riddles and games to spark some conversation and such. This is a place where you and your partner can lock yourselves in for an entire weekend and just spend time together. I would also bring my own shampoo/conditioner/lotion etc. If I could do it all over again: the only thing I would change was bringing more things to Grill (we chose to order in and have the staff set up the candlelit dinner) and bringing my own alcohol. Cars usually stay at the enterance so there aren't cars zipping around. The fireplace definitely kept the place warm, and the firepit outside was perfect for make the s'mores! We were able to get bikes to ride around the trails, there is a sizeable clubhouse, and they give you corn kernels to feed the geese/ducks,chicken. Very simple, but it allowed for us to stay put. The breakfast basket had some fruit, nutrigrain bars, and either muffins or danishes. There is a loveseat recliner facing the TV (has surround sound so it's audible from all parts of the house) and a loft with a similar loveseat with a view. There is a minifridge that comes stocked with drinks of your choosing, and a basket of snacks as well. The Bed was nice a springy, and sheets were fresh. The Jacuzzi/hottub in EVERY ROOM was amazing. They even make alcohol runs for you! Room: Fantastic! everything was clean, everything was user friendly and labeled so there was no confusion whatsoever. The staff brought down farm fresh eggs, cheesecake, breakfast baskets, and s'mores ingredients every day. ![]() Think of it as a much less invasive housekeeping/room service. A horsedrawn carriage took us to our room, where a picture was taken, followed by a rundown of all of our available amenities. from the second we pulled, the staff was so friendly and so helpful. ![]() Let me start by saying that none of the descriptions do this place justice. The back porch had a gas bbq grill, and a gas fire pit for making SMORES! We were sorry to go after 2 nights, but hope to come back again soon! Everyone was so pleasant and friendly!! we thoroughly fresh eggs one morning - and the chocolate strawberries were divine! TIP: bring small bills to tip the staff if you desire! TIP 2: don't bring snacks to eat - they give you more than enough (chips, sweets, drinks )! THANK YOU SERENITY SPRINGS!! After the week my wife and I had before coming, we needed SERENITY NOW!!!! and we got it!! The Herman's More Show less I would actually prefer the channel cottages/cabins for added privacy, and further from road noise (there is some, but was minimal at our cabin). The extended carriage ride around the premises, as well as our foot hike were awesome. We shopped the LightHouse Outlet Mall, and hit Shady Creek Winery. Treats arrived thru the butler door at various intervals, as well as some games to play. The cabin was immaculate, king size bed was very comfortable, surround sound entertainment system, with HD TV, and a sunken 2 person jacuzzi tub in the floor. we were in cabin, #18, The Cedar house, on the Channel - which had a 2nd floor sitting area - accessible by ladder. FYI - They are on Chicago Time!! This is our 2nd stay here. Just got back from a Weekend Stay at Serenity Springs, in La Porte, Indiana. The back porch had a gas bbq grill, and a gas fire pit for making SMORES! We were sorry to go after 2 nights, but hope to come back again soon!
